Festive Beverage Ideas For Non-Alcohol Drinkers

One of my favorite everyday drinks is seltzer. You know how sometimes you're thirsty, but you want something that isn't just plain water? And you don't want to get a crazy sugar high from chugging soda or pure juice? Might I suggest... seltzer! Vintage Seltzer is my go-to—it's inexpensive, sold in most of the stores around where I live, and comes in a bunch of natural fruit flavors (Lemon-Lime, Mandarin Orange, Lemon, Lime, Pomegranate, Seedless Watermelon, Raspberry, Raspberry-Lime, Wild Cherry, and of course unflavored Original). No sugar, no color, no artificial flavors. Water but BETTER! (And definitely a healthier alternative to soda.)

This Thanksgiving we kept our meal mostly alcohol-free... candied sweet potatoes and other rich casseroles make one sleepy enough as is. Instead, we mixed up drinks with various flavored seltzers instead. Refreshing! Today I'll be sharing a few of my favorite combos, which are totally appropriate for whipping up at a Christmas party or just because.

I will be focusing on a few specific flavors today—when I have a party and use seltzer in mixed drinks, I usually grab a few each of three or four different flavors in one liter bottles. Easy to share amongst multiple people. (Vintage Seltzer is also available in cans though, which I prefer for regular old everyday drinking.) Either way, you should be able to find them in the aisle with bottled water and such—that's where they are in my local supermarket, anyway!

TROPICAL DELIGHT:
-One part coconut water
-One part pineapple juice
-One part Vintage Lime Seltzer

THE UN-MIMOSA:
-Two parts orange juice
-One part Vintage Mandarin Orange Seltzer
-A splash of grenadine

BERRY DELICIOUS:
-One part strawberry juice
-One part Vintage Raspberry Seltzer
-A squeeze of fresh lime juice

Just stir them up, garnish (if desired) and serve! And the nice thing about getting seltzer in bottles is that if some of your guests like their drinks more fizzy than others, it's easy to add an extra splash into their individual cups. (Or you could be like Stan and just down a whole can in one gulp by itself.)

Mmm, delicious. Not sure where to buy Vintage Seltzer? Use their store locator to find the shop nearest to you.
