I haven't been on a proper family vacation in years (my parents split up almost 20 years ago) but my dad liked to start arguments with various members of the family after we'd been in the car for a while. Probably just out of boredom. I remember several drives ending in tears. Hooray!Rebecca B. I had to do a training for a former job that required me to be away for a week at a time for three weeks, staying at a hotel off the highway (and I of course don't have a car or a driver's license). My survival diet consisted of frozen box meals, hummus, and random snacks from the adjacent gas station. Gourmet!Rebecca B. All accomodations were booked wrong (not by me), massive transportation failure, bad meeting schedules, ugly outcomes, unpleasant microwave box meals (because no transportation and hotel out in the middle of nowhere), and when I thought everything could finally be put behind me, I lost my cell phone on the plane. ugh.Karen Boxnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2911674580773813945.post-29880776465790750202014-02-20T23:49:56.019-05:002014-02-20T23:49:56.019-05:00Any trip I go on with my entire family because my ...Any trip I go on with my entire family because my brother gets weird and refuses to do anything and then gets mad when we go do things without him. I should get an award or something.

My trip to SF for Infinite concert--I punctured my foot on a spike from a vest I made on the day of the concert which meant I couldn't shop on one of the three days we were there, I couldn't wear my shoes to the concert to see over people, and it bled/I needed antibiotics. Then while I was waiting for my boyfriend shopping, I got a call that the store I was running got broken into twice over the weekend--had to deal with that because the owner was a moron. At the Infinite concert they wouldn't let ANYONE use the ONLY open bathroom on campus because it was Veterans Day, if you weren't a student--I had to walk about a mile or mile and a half on my punctured foot to use the bathroom from some gracious girl I was standing next to in line. Forever my hero. Oh and then the next day our rental car got broken into, $800 worth of damage with two smashed windows, and they stole my boyfriend's laptop and DS.

I'd say the other bad trip pales in comparison to this now that I think about it...Sample Himehttp://samplehime.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2911674580773813945.post-17947981003978805452014-02-20T00:11:27.829-05:002014-02-20T00:11:27.829-05:00Overall, I still ended up having a good trip BUT g...Overall, I still ended up having a good trip BUT girls trip to Florida from St.Louis, 4 of us. One of the girls had recently lost her job but we planned the trip way in advance and she was driving her car so the other three of us agreed to cover her costs for the trip. Literally half way to our destination some really important red light comes on in her car. So now she has no money and a car that could potentially stop running any minute with no money to fix it. THEN one of the other girls leaves her entire wallet in a McDonald's bathroom in North Florida, but doesn't realize it until 4 hours later. So not only was she also broke on this trip, we didn't get to go to a few places we really wanted to because she had no ID!ekristine724http://www.allthingspretty13.wix.com/allthingspretty13noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2911674580773813945.post-2853187969164920202014-02-19T22:24:30.551-05:002014-02-19T22:24:30.551-05:00I don't remember exactly where this was, but m...I don't remember exactly where this was, but my family and I were at a national park in Canada, and I kept on getting bitten by mosquitos. I guess the one that I try not to remember is our Christmas 2011 trip to Pittsburgh and meeting a lot of the husbands family for the first time. They seemed to have it in for me with snide remarks about how the boy could come visit me in the UK and not travel to see them and so on.
