Weekly Poll | Still Life with Fruit.

Happy Wednesday, everybody!

This week's question is about fruit. Mmm, fruit. Stan's father signed us up for the Harry & David Fruit of the Month Club as a holiday gift, and it's been a real treat because we don't buy a lot of fresh fruit for ourselves around this time of year. Last month we got a massive pile-o-pears, and yesterday a ton of tangelos. Aww yess. Anyway, here's my question:

What's your favorite kind of fruit? Feel free to choose two or three if you can't decide on one.

Simple as! I think mine must be grapefruit, though I certainly don't consume it all the time out of respect for my stomach lining. I also grew quite fond of feijoas when I was staying in New Zealand, but I haven't had one in several years. I don't think they grow anywhere in North America? (If I'm wrong and you have a feijoa tree, please invite me over for a fruit party.) Lastly, avocados. Didja know those were technically fruits and not vegetables? Either way, I want to eat them. A LOT.

  3. Tangelos are what you see in the picture! They're kind of like a cross between tangerines and grapefruit, but sweeter.

  4. I have consumed so many avocados in the past year. Usually we can get them in a bag of five and I eat them throughout the week. So good! But I have to say grapes are my favorite fruit, haha.

  6. I'm going to root for the yellow ataulfo mangoes! And green grapes. And raspberries. And Granny Smith apples. Or Pink Lady apples. And blackberries right off the bush. Mmmm.

  7. Bananas. I think they are the least messy fruit, although dealing with the peel is a hassle. A fruit of the month club would probably help me expand my fruit horizons.

  8. Yum to grapes! I look forward to the time of year when avocados go on sale here. We eat them with everything!

  9. Yes, fruit of the month is awesome! A bit decadent for me to subscribe myself to, but awesome to receive as a gift. I love berries and mangoes too... I buy frozen ones and use them in smoothies.

  10. Mmm, I love those mangoes. I feel like they're a bit harder to find, but the flesh isn't usually as fibrous as the massive reddish mangoes. I'll take some of all those other fruits you mentioned too. Time for fruit salad!
