Dr. Young AC Control U-line Clearing Mist Review & GIVEAWAY!

Hi, my name is R. and I have a mist addiction. I thought until recently that it was just facial mists I was hooked on, but the Dr. Young AC Control U-line Clearing Mist I received in Memebox Free From Oil & Troubles proved that oh-so-wrong. It's a mist for your BODY!

Dr. Young AC Control U-line Clearing Mist Memebox Free From Oil & Troubles

I think Memebox must have caught wind of my addiction, because they sent me an extra to give away, woo-hoo! But first, how about a little review?

Product description:
U-line Clearing Mist Controls and calms skin breakouts with its Evermat and Tea Tree Oil ingredients. It controls sebum of your body and makes your skin clean and soft.

Instructions:
For Face: After cleansing, close your eyes and spray the mist from 30cm away, and let it absorb into your skin. For Body: After shower, spray abundantly over sensitive areas of your body and let it absorb.

FYI, "U-line" refers to your upper chest and back area. I'm actually prone to blemishes in those areas, so this is a very timely product, considering that summer usually means lower-cut dresses and tops. The info card that originally came with the Oil & Troubles box says that you can use this both on the face and the body, but I've mainly been using it as a body product due to the high alcohol content.

Dr. Young AC Control U-line Clearing Mist ingredients

Alcohol can be kind of controversial ingredient in skincare, but I haven't experienced any irritation from this product. Even when I accidentally squirted myself in the face. Just saying. There are also a few other ingredients that jump out at me in terms of being good acne-fighting agents, namely tea tree oil and salicylic acid. The presence of salicylic acid inspired me to bust out my pH strips and test this, and the result was somewhere between 6 and 7 (accuracy not 100% guaranteed, of course). In other words this product probably isn't acidic enough to work as an exfoliant, but it's not ridiculously alkaline either.

Speaking of squirting, I really like the nozzle on this bottle. It dispenses a good amount of product without making uneven "globs", if that makes sense.

TCH TCH!

As for results: My skin feels softer since I started using the mist ~3 weeks ago. I'm not sure if it has cleared my skin up at all, but I've been using it on my boyfriend and he seems to have less bacne as a result (shh, don't tell him I told you that). The thing I love most about this product though is how incredibly refreshing it is—it feels soooo good to mist yourself with this after coming in from the nasty humidity.

I asked Stan (my BF) if he had any comments he wanted to share on this product since he's been using it too, and he said "It's so refreshing, made me feel stupid good after uncontrollable sweating." You heard it here: STUPID GOOD.

Want to feel STUPID GOOD for yourself? Well here's a chance to win your own bottle of mist!

Oooh, a double review of the clearing mist! This might be a good investment for me since the heat can be overbearing sometimes in GA.

  8. This spray was awesome--and I didn't find that the alcohol did anything bad to my skin. I like how something made for trouble care didn't end up being drying, but rather moisturizing.

  9. That spray looks awesome! I love face mist but haven't tried body mist yet. Sounds perfect though since I am some hard to reach acne on my back :(

  10. I have some problems with acne on my chest, but I've always just dealt with it using the same things I use on my face. Would be interesting to try something designed specifically for this purpose!

  11. With a mist like this I would use it on bare skin, like right after you get out of the shower or something. It's actually not drying, despite the high alcohol content.

  13. This one doesn't really have much of a scent but it is nice! Not sure how you feel about rose scents, but my absolute favorite thing to spray on my face is Heritage brand rosewater. It smells sooooo good ... assuming you like the smell of roses, of course.

  14. Definitely! I would not have liked this as much if it left me feeling dry or crusty.

  21. Foot peeling masks are definitely fun! The peeling phase is a bit gross but as long as you wear socks it doesn't get too out of hand. :)
