Weekly Poll: I Stink!

Happy Wednesday! Is it sweltering where you are, northern hemisphere-ers? I feel like I'm going to melt.

These week's question was loosely inspired by my sample hoarding habits:

We all have favorite (or least favorite) perfumes, but what are your favorite scented beauty products that aren't perfume?

Hair products, body lotions, facial moisturizers, whatever. I thought of this question because I finally got around to using the Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle I received in my Birchbox a few months ago, and it smells DELICIOUS. Like a delicious vanilla cake. I will definitely be purchasing it once I rack up a few more points. As for a runner-up .... maybe Haus of Gloi's Honeysuckle Lemon Curd Pumpkin Butter, though that can be purchased in perfume oil form, so maybe it doesn't count.

How about you? What's making you smell divine these days?

  1. Interesting question... I have one lipstick--super cheap, lives in my purse--that smells delicious, like cotton candy or something.

  2. Pacifica makes a vanilla body butter that I love and I just started using eos vanilla shave cream and can't stop sniffing my silky armpits. Neither of them smell nauseatingly sweet!

  3. Mmm, I love it when lipsticks have a scent. It's not 100% necessary, but it makes the experience of applying them that much nicer.

  4. Ooh, I'll have to check out the eos shaving cream. I got a Pacifica vanilla perfume roll-on a couple of years ago and it smelled AMAZING - not gross and sickly sweet like a lot of vanillas. I'm guessing the fragrance is probably the same or similar to their body butter.

  5. I'm kind of curious about whether the scent stays once the lipstick is on my mouth... I'll get my boyfriend to check. And report back on this important issue.

  6. Make sure not to eat any stinky food first! You don't want to contaminate the experiment.

  7. The body butter is better, imo. It's warmer than the roll-on and has an almost floral note after it sinks in. I got my eos on sale at Rite Aid for $2.99 and if you have their rewards card you get $2 off of any future purchase so get it!!!

  8. As for beauty I would have to say my Too Faced Chocolate Bar eyeshadow palette, I love chocolate!!! Other wise I love the Bath & Body Works Foaming Hand soaps I love all of them, fragrance is not to strong but enough you can smell it.

  9. Oh yes, those are pretty nice! We stock up on their hand soaps occasionally when they're on sale.

  10. Hmm, maybe it's pheromones or something. My boyfriend has his own shampoo but I can always tell when he's sneakily using mine because his head smells different. :P
