Hope you're having a Very Merry Wednesday, everyone!
I just finished off a rather large tub of hummus, which inspired this rather simple question:
What's your favorite kind of dip?
By "dip" I mean a sauce or paste that you dunk things into, if you weren't sure. Hummus, other bean dips, and queso are really common around these parts, but I think we could include any type of substance that's meant to be dipped into. Chocolate sauce and fondue are on the menu, folks.
I suppose mine would have to be hummus, considering that I just ate a hundred pounds of it. But I'm also partial to a nice white bean and tomato dip. How about you? What dips and dippers should I have out if you ever come party at my house?
I do love buffalo chicken dip. But also a fan of guacamole and salsa. And french onion dip. I'm a dip lover!
ReplyDeleteI love hummus and pretzels! With chips its either cheese dip for tortilla chips or onion dip for potato chips!
ReplyDeleteI love spinach artichoke dip. MMMMMMMMM. White bean and tomato sounds interesting, I've never heard of that before!
ReplyDeleteLove hummus!

Hummus, baba ghanoush, and tahini for sure.
ReplyDeleteAlso guacamole!
I'm not sure I could narrow it down. Hummus with pita bread, salsa (is that a dip, though?) with tortilla chips, sour cream and onion for potato chips, spinach and artichoke dip and bread... All I know is now I'm hungry.
ReplyDeleteArgh, how could I forget guacamole?! I *LOVED* French Onion dip when I was a kid. I probably had horrible breath all the time, lol.
ReplyDeleteYum yum yum all around! I will dip pretty much anything in hummus, but pretzels are high on the list.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, spinach artichoke is a classic!
ReplyDeleteWe should start a hummus club. :)
ReplyDeleteBaba ghanoush is sooooo delicious! I'll take one of everything on that list, please. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd count salsa as a dip. And reading through the comments has made me hungry too, even though I just ate 100 pounds of hummus.
ReplyDeleteThat's an impressive amount of hummus.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried hummus with pretzels. That sounds yummy!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhh this is a really tough question I love so many dips. Dipping things is basically the best way to eat things! Any sort of blue cheese dip or guacamole, I can't pick just one ;P

I make a mean fruit dip. Cream cheese, vanilla yogurt, fresh squeezed orange. Some people use the same recipe and swap marshmallow fluff for cream cheese, but whatever.
ReplyDeleteI think more than one dip is allowed in this case! I'd be satisfied with a meal consisting of different dips. :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds rather nice! What do you dip into the fruit dip?
ReplyDeleteNot a hummus fan. The texture isn't great for me. Haha. I love homemade guacamole and as for store bought... roast capsicum.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, roast capsicum spread sounds DELICIOUS. I mean I've had it before, but I don't have any right now, and that's making me sad. Hummus can vary a lot with the texture depending on how much water is in it, but I guess it always has a certain "mouth feel" for lack of a better word, lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm completely down haha c:
