Stan Says: Dear by Enprani "Dreams Come True" Bounce Cheese Cream

PR Sample

So today I'll be kicking off what I hope will become an ongoing series on my blog...  skincare reviews by my boyfriend, which shall henceforth be known as "Stan Says"!

But first, a little background. Before we started dating, my boyfriend owned exactly one moisturizer: A tub of Eucerin so ancient that the lid had crusted shut. When we moved in together he didn't understand why I had so many bottles of lotion, and he especially didn't understand why I insisted he use some of it when he complained about having a dry, flaky face. After several years of living together (and inheriting my reject lotions) he's finally started to admit that maybe (just maybe) it might not be a bad thing to have a bit of moisturizer around.

Now, with that said he's still not an expert on all things emollient, but he's starting to have preferences and stuff. Today we bring you his thoughts on the Dear by Enprani "Dreams Come True" Bounce Cheese cream, which I received in Memebox #3. In video format, because it's funnier that way.

The product description from the info card in my Memebox:

A facial cream that has a very unique bounce texture from high concentration of milk serum. Milk serum, also known as whey, is a good source of natural protein that perfectly hydrates and firms your skin.

Video review time. One more note: I don't think he's used to being in front of the camera. Embrace the extreme awkwardness.

In case you're wondering about the crazy stuff he was saying at the beginning, that's the text on the front of the box:

I do like things that extend bouncily on my face. Stan said that this cream has a "neutral" scent, but I think it actually has a slightly floral smell. It's pleasant in any case, and not at all cheesy. Unfortunately I don't know what all of the ingredients of this product are because they're printed on the box in Korean, but if anyone wants to have a crack at translating then here you go:

One thing I can make out on the box is 아데노신, or Adenosine in English, which is a common anti-wrinkle ingredient. This face cheese is youth cheese, guys.

UPDATE 01 FEB 14: Lindsey has graciously offered to translate the box and put the info on COSDNA! Here's the full list of ingredients/instructions from her translation:

I can't offer any conclusive opinions on this product because I didn't try it myself, but Stan seems to love it. I asked him to sum up his Bounce Cheese Cream experience in three words and he said "real good texture". That says it all, I guess.

  1. I read somewhere that this cream contains "curd cheese" (in German it is called "Quark", I'm not sure if I got the right translation). My mother used curd cheese like for years as facial mask and she believes that it is great for skin. I think it has to be good for skin then.
By the way, finally I ordered the 6th global edition of MeMe Box...I was so unsure all the time, but you were right, why not give it a try :D...aaand the wiggle perfume samples arrives some days ago. Love "buxom" *_* it smells great! Thanks for introducing that one!

  2. That's interesting. I've heard of quark cheese, but never of people putting it on their faces, haha. I think milk is a common skincare ingredient because of the lactic acid (as an exfoliant), but maybe the high protein content in cheese also does something good for the skin? I'm not sure.

I hope Memebox #6 is great! I'm still waiting on #4 but I think it should be here within the next few days. And I'm so glad to hear that you liked Buxom... I'm going to get a bigger bottle of it for my birthday next month! :D

  3. Hahaha your boyfriend's reading of the box. There needs to be a remix song of this. After reading that this is meant to be quark cheese, it lost it's "eww weird" factor for me since it's essentially greek yogurt. :P But I still want to try it! How come you're not using it?

  4. Without getting into gross details, let's just say that I have an aversion to cheese. :P I didn't think of it that way but I suppose you're right... it's more like yogurt cream than cheese cream. I wish I could read the entire ingredients list so I could determine if there's anything else cheesy about it, but the only words I recognize are adenosine and whey. I laughed so hard when he read me the box... he's kind of a silly guy, so I didn't expect him to do it so seriously. I think being on camera freaked him out a little bit. :)

  5. Haha, that was amusing. I love the writing on the packaging. Especially the repeated references to bounciness...

  6. I researched the product a bit and apparently there is also a "Melted" cheese cream by Enprani. So I wonder if that one has repeated mentions of meltiness on the box? (Is meltiness a thing?)

  7. I don't know. All I know is it makes me want pizza right now.

  8. Looks and sounds like an interesting product!

  9. It certainly is unusual... can't say that they're selling cheese cream down at the local CVS!

  10. I'll give you a translation in an hour or so?

Boyfriend bird is darling! I am still unsure of the whole cheese cream phenomena but I am certain that the boyfriend bird's awkwardness makes him adorably charming. I'm not sure I want my cream to be bouncy but hey whatever floats your boats! I really enjoyed this post. Thanks for sharing.

  14. Haha yep, cheese cream. It's still not as weird as snail mucin cream though...

  15. Haha, I'll tell him you said so. ;) I have to say, personally I find the cheesy texture of this cream rather revolting, but I figured the info would be useful for anyone who was in the market to buy it.
